15 Female Athletes With Amazing Tattoos

It may be difficult to believe, but there’s historical evidence which indicates that human beings have been getting inked as far back as the 4th millennium BC. The earliest tattoo was found on human skin that belonged to your body that scientist known as “Otzi the Iceman” — that lived sometime around 3100 BC.

While tattoos as an art form have come a long way since Otzi’s time, we also have seen a shift in the way they’re perceived. At one stage time — in the not so distant past — tats where frequently correlated with outlaws or people who live on the fringes of society. But these days, it is not uncommon to see white-collar professionals and even corporate executives wearing some ink.

Another field where we’ve observed an increasing number of tattoos is professional sports. A number of the most famous athletes in the world proudly exhibit some impressive body art, while competing at the maximum level. What may surprise some people (albeit fewer than it would have in years past) is that many of these athletes are female.

These girls are some of the most highly regarded athletes in their respective sports and in many cases are also considered to be one of the most beautiful.
